-Product Enhancements- Ethernet option is now SNMP compatible and supports an embedded web-server

All Peak products offered with the optional Ethernet remote control facility will now be SNMP (Simple Network Management Control) compatible and will feature an embedded web-server.

SNMP; is used mostly in NMS (network management systems) to monitor network-attached devices and provide data in the form of variables, which can then be queried and set as required. MIBs for use with the NMS are available from Peak.

Embedded web-server; is a web-based control system allowing a very quick and easy way to remote control your Peak product. It avoids the programming costs associated with RS232/485 control and the NMS costs associated with SNMP. The IP address is simply set via the front panel, the unit connected to the Internet and then the IP address used to access and control the unit via the built-in web-page … what could be simpler!
