Beacon Receivers & UpLink Power Controllers
Beacon Receivers; Agile Satellite tracking receivers providing a DC output proportional to a CW satellite beacon for telemetry and control applications in typically medium to large sized earth stations.
Input frequencies are typically L-Band, but can be at SHF frequencies with the inclusion of a Block DownConverter stage.
UpLink Power Controllers; Utilising the above Beacon Receiver circuitry (or an external Beacon Receiver DC input) and some microprocessor based 'intelligence', the UPC units provide a cost effective automatic solution to 'rain fade' compensation.
The standard unit supports up to 4-channels of internal uplink compensation, but a 10-channel modular 'expansion' unit is available for larger installations. Alternatively the UPC can be connected to Peak Agile UpConverter, Block UpConverter or Line Amplifier products (fitted with attenuation options) in the UpLink chain to provide a 'total' solution.
